Michael Keaton in Talks to Play Villain in Marvel & Sony's SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING

Michael Keaton may soon join the Marvel Universe.

According to Deadline, the Oscar-winning actor has entered talks to play an unnamed villain in Marvel and Sony's upcoming SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING.

Tom Holland, who will star as the spandex-clad superhero, made the official announcement at the event, sharing "I'm Tom Holland and I'm your new Spider-Man. He teased that the new film will find Spidey and his alter ego Peter Parker searching for his identity. Joked Sony Pictures chief Tom Rothman,

The film will follow "Parker's struggles to balance his high school life with his vigilantism" with the conflict described as "saving the world and getting your algebra homework done at the same time."

Marisa Tomei is set to play Aunt May in the film.

'HOMECOMING' marks the teaming of Sony and Disney's Marvel Studios, with superhero veteran Kevin Feige serving as a producer. Holland's Spider-Man will also be featured in future Avengers movies.
