According to Laughspin, comedian Margaret Cho will make a return appearance as Kim Jong Il on the May 17th episode of NBC's 30 ROCK.

Cho will make an appearance as the former North Korean dictator on the upcoming episode as well as on the show's season finale. The comedian was last seen playing the role on last year's season. In the storyline, Kim Jong Il kidnapped Alec Baldwin's Jack Donaghy's wife Avery Jessup (played by actress Elizabeth Banks). Avery eventually became first lady of North Korea. It is uncertain how Cho's deceased character will reappear on the show.

Cho is best known for her stand-up routines, through which she critiques social and political problems, especially those pertaining to race and sexuality. She has also directed and appeared in music videos and has her own clothing line.
