MLB.TV Ends Spring Training With Two-Day Free Preview ft. 19 Games

MLB.TV, the Internet's longest-running and #1 sports streaming product, will conclude its Spring Training with a two-day free preview, giving fans a chance to try the service for any of the 19 scheduled broadcasts, as it also expands accessibility for subscribers with the launch of MLB.TV Premium for Sony PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. MLBAM already has made MLB.TV Premium subscriptions available across more than 400 supported mobile and connected devices.

From its now technologically-archaic beginnings a 300K live stream to 30,000 viewers in August 2002 MLB.TV has charted a trail of 'firsts' along the path to its place as the most widely distributed sports streaming service, covering nearly 30,000 games to millions of subscribers in that timespan. Among those subsequent mileposts were: 'first' to stream its entire season (2003); 'first' to wire its venues for TV-quality streaming (2005); 'first' to use adaptive bit rate streaming (2008); 'first' to stream live 720p HD video (2009); 'first' to stream live games/subscription product to iPhone (2009); 'first' live video on connected devices (2009); 'first' to stream live gams/subscription product to iPad (2010); 'first' to stream live video to a gaming console (2010); 'first' live games embedded on Facebook & Twitter (2011); and 'first' to make a live video stream embeddable to any site on the Internet (2013).

MLB.TV Premium subscribers again will have access to every live out-of-market game across all supported devices, home and away broadcast feeds and a free 2014 subscription to the highest-grossing sports app of all time, At Bat, on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, supported Android smartphones and tablets, Amazon Kindle Fire and Windows Phone 8.

MLBAM will be offering fans a free preview of MLB.TV for all Spring Training games airing today and tomorrow. A complete schedule of games follows below.
