Lead Characters' Names Revealed for GHOSTBUSTERS Reboot!

GHOSTBUSTERS writer and director Paul Feig turned to Twitter to reveal the names of the lead characters for the highly anticipated upcoming reboot.

Posted Feig: "Okay, here you go. Erin Gilbert, Jillian Holtzmann, Abby Yates and Patty Tolan. Now you know even more."

Wondering who plays who? Well according to IMDB, Melissa McCarthy plays Abby Yates, Kristen Wiig takes on Erin Gilbert, 'Jillian Holtzmann' is played by Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones portrays Patty Tolan.

GHOSTBUSTERS opens July 22, 2016.

The newest incarnation of the film will reportedly center on the newest generation ofGHOSTBUSTERS and will feature cameos from the franchise's original stars. TheGHOSTBUSTERS film, originally about unemployed parapsychology professors who become a ghost removal agency, has had three different movies and a cartoon series.

The original GHOSTBUSTERS was released in the United States on June 8, 1984. It was a critical and commercial success, receiving a positive response from critics and audiences and grossing US $238 million in the United States and more than $291 million worldwide. It was nominated for two Oscars at the 57th Academy Awards for Best Visual Effects and Best Original Song.
