Kal Penn to Star in CBS Comedy Pilot EX-MEN

TVLine.com reports that Kal Penn will have a starring role on the upcoming CBS comedy pilot EX-MEN. The project is from 'How I Met Your Mother's executive producer Rob Greenberg

The pilot follows a "charming twentysomething (Chris Smith) who, after getting ditched at the altar by his bride-to-be, moves into a short-term housing complex and is befriended by a group of divorced men. Penn will portRay Gil, a resident of the building who was "caught having the world's worst affair."

Penn is known for his role portraying the character Dr. Lawrence Kutner on the television series House and the character Kumar Patel in the Harold and Kumar comedy films. He is also recognized for his performance in the critically acclaimed film The Namesake. The actors recent pilot for ABC, Prairie Dogs, was not picked up for a spot on the network's schedule.
