Joshua Sasse to Star in ABC's GALAVANT Pilot; Fairytale Comedy Adds Three Others to Cast

ABC's fairytale comedy pilot GALAVANT has found its prince.

Deadline writes that Joshua Sasse (Rogue) will play the titular Prince Galavant in the upcoming series, written by Dan Fogelman with music by renowned composer Alan Menken.

Also signed on for the pilot are Karen David (Waterloo Road), Mallory Jansen (Twentysomething) and Luke Youngblood (Community).

GALAVANT centers on a prince who seeks Revenge against the evil King Richard who stole his true love, Madalena (Jansen). In a twist, Madalena decides she wants to stay with the king and benefit from his wealth and power.

David will play Isabella, princess and daughter of the King and Queen of Valencia, a country under the control of King Richard. Youngblood will take on the role of Galavant's squire and wingman of sorts, Sid. Vinnie Jones is also in the cast.

Sasse is best known for playing Alec Laszio in the TV series Rogue. His big screen credits include Frankenstein's Army and The Big I Am.
