Jenny Ramirez has been hired by TBS & TNT as vice president of unscripted programming for the two flagship entertainment brands in the Turner portfolio. In this role, she is responsible for creative oversight of TBS & TNT's unscripted development process, taking projects from concept to series across all platforms while collaborating with top-level companies, producers, directors and talent to develop new strategic content. Ramirez is based in Los Angeles and reports to Michael Bloom, senior vice president of unscripted programming and specials for TBS & TNT.

"Jenny is an exceptional development executive with a successful track record across the spectrum of unscripted and non-fiction genres," said Bloom. "Along the way, she's built top-shelf relationships with some of the best creators in the industry. She will be an extremely valuable member of our team as we re-imagine the unscripted/non-fiction universe and create and launch successful multi-platform content for TBS & TNT."

Ramirez joins TBS & TNT from Irwin Entertainment, where she served as both senior vice president of development and co-executive producer for the company's robust slate of NBC specials. During her time at Irwin, Ramirez produced New Year's Eve with Carson Daly, Must See TV: An All-Star Tribute to James Burrows and the star-studded Red Nose Day charity special. She also helped develop E! Entertainment's Famously Single.

Ramirez previously served as vice president of development and production for CORE Media Group. Only the second member hired for the group, Ramirez acted as an in-house development showrunner. She developed and sold series to Bravo (Euros of Hollywood), Pop (Sing It On), Turner's truTV (Hair-Jacked) and Lifetime (Prison Wives Club and Preach). She also ran development for in-house producer Rob Lee and served as point person for production partner Hazy Mills.

Prior to CORE Media Group, Ramirez worked in FremantleMedia's non-scripted development department for six years, learning the ins and outs of the international marketplace, adapting formats for the U.S. and modernizing game shows from the coveted Mark Goodson library. During her time at FremantleMedia, she developed projects for TBS, Fox, NBC, A&E, MTV and Syfy.

A graduate of New York University, Ramirez began nurturing her love for storytelling when she served as an assistant editor for legendary publisher Judith Regan, the force behind Howard Stern's Private Parts, Gregory Maguire's Wicked and countless other bestsellers. She transitioned to television after making the cross-country trek to Los Angeles to help start up Regan Media's West Coast office.
