Jenny Lewis and Jonathan Rice to Score SONG ONE Film, Starring Anne Hathaway

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jenny Lewis and Jonathan Rice will write the songs for the new musical film SONG ONE, starring Anne Hathaway. Lewis and Rice have already written some original tunes for the movie and will also be scoring the film.

The independent film focuses on an up-and-coming rock singer, played by Irish musician Johnny Flynn. Hathway will take on the role of Flynn's girlfriend, although it was not confirmed if the actress will perform any songs in the film. Principal photography was scheduled to begin in New York City on May 29th. Hathaway's husband Adam Shulman is producing alongside Jonathan Demme.

Lewis and Rice are indie folk artists "Jenny and Johnny" and have been performing together since 2006. The duo released their first album I'm Having Fun Now in 2010. Lewis also released a previous solo album Rabbit Fur Coat.

Lewis' acting credits include appearances on TV's American Dad!, Once and Again, Get Real, Rebel Highway, Brooklyn Bridge, Shannon's Deal, Baywatch, Free Spirit, Roseanne, Growing Pains, Life with Lucy, The Twilight Zone and many more. Film credits include: Bolt, Pleasantville, Little Boy Blue, Foxfire, Big Girls Don't Cry... They Get Even, The Wizard and more. Her other music collaborations include Bright Eyes, Elvis Costello and Wavves, as well as an upcoming stint with the Postal Service. Rice has appeared in the film Walk the Line.
