According to The Hollywood Reporter, A-list film stars Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon will join forces on a new TV series about morning television shows. FRIENDS fans will recall that Witherspoon guest starred as Aniston's younger sister on the hit NBC TV comedy.

The new project will soon be shopped to premium cable networks and streaming services. Considering the star power attached to it, the show is expected to receive multiple bids and significant interest. Currently untitled, the story is based on an original idea and is written by HOUSE OF CARDS scribe Jay Carson.

Witherspoon recently received an Emmy nomination for HBO's BIG LITTLE LIES. A second season of the cable show is now in development. The actress won an Academy Award for her performance in WALK THE LINE and was nominated for her recent film, WILD.

Aniston earned five Emmy nominations and won one for her iconic role as Rachel Green on NBC's FRIENDS. She also earned a guest star Emmy nomination for her appearance on NBC's 30 ROCK. Her film credits include We're the Millers, Just Go With It and Marley & Me.
