Irish actress Catherine Siggins joins director Marc Fusco's upcoming indie drama feature film THE SAMUEL PROJECT, alongside Emmy and Tony Award-winner Hal Linden (Barney Miller) and Disney star Ryan Ochoa (Disney's Pair of Kings).

THE SAMUEL PROJECT tells the story of a teen (Ochoa) who gets to know his grandfather, Samuel (Linden), when he makes him the subject of an animated art project for school. The young man discovers that his grandpa, a Jewish dry cleaner, was heroically saved from Nazi capture in Germany by a young woman when he was a boy. Siggins steps into the storyline as Laura, the granddaughter of the now old woman who saved Samuel all those years ago.

Siggins emerges as part of the notable cast, which also includes Ken Davitian, Mateo Arias, Malina Moye, and Michael B. Silver. The script was penned by Fusco, the former Steven Spielberg assistant who directed the comedy My Uncle Rafael and heist film Stealing Time, and co-writer Chris Neighbors.

Raised in a suburb of Dublin and classically trained in Britain, Siggins has built a solid reputation working in Ireland, the UK, across Europe and now in the US. She has starred in numerous award-winning international television series including Casualty (BBC), The Last Detective (ITV), Six Wives of Henry VIII (Channel 4, PBS), and DDU (RTE?). Her debut leading role was in Roger Corman's Victorian thriller The Suicide Club, starring David Morrissey, Jonathan Price and Paul Bettany. The talented actress went on to star in Corman's Palace of the Damned, in addition to appearing in the prominent indie films The Scam and L'Amour De Jeunes. Siggins has frequently worked with award-winning film and television director and producers, including Mike Figgis, Gareth Naeme, Ciaran Donnelly, Kieron J. Walsh, and Jamie Payne.

Catherine Siggins is represented by Danita Florance at Littman Talent Group and Peter Scott at Torque Entertainment.
