According to The Daily News, nearly 70,000 people are expected to attend the Women's March in downtown Los Angeles this Saturday, January 21st. The event is one of several planned protests to be held throughout the country.

Dozens of celebrities are expected to join protesters as they march down the streets of the city towards City Hall. Included in the group of A-listers are Ariana Grande, Jane Fonda, Alfre Woodard and Idina Menzel.

According to the Women's March Los Angeles website the event is "open to everyone who stands for human rights, civil liberties, tolerance of diversity, and a compassion for our shared humanity". It continues, "In the spirit of democracy and honouring the champions of human rights, dignity, and justice who have come before us, we join in diversity to show our presence in numbers too great to ignore. We stand together, recognizing that defending the most marginalized among us is defending all of us."
