Hugh Laurie is officially heading back to television.

Per Variety, the former HOUSE actor confirmed he would be appearing on HBO's VEEP on Twitter, saying: "Seems the cat's out of the wet paper bag. I'm doing some episodes of VEEP with the funniest and best cast on TV. I have not yet been fired."

No word yet on how many episodes Laurie will appear on.

This marks Laurie's first return to TV following his long-running role on Fox's House. Also in Laurie's queue is the film Tomorrowland.

Created by Armando Iannucci (Oscar(R) nominee for co-writing "In the Loop"), Veep stars Emmy(R) and Screen Actors Guild Award winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Selina Meyer, who becomes Vice president, only to discover the job is nothing like she expected, but everything she was warned about.

In addition to Julia Louis-Dreyfus, the ensemble cast of the third season included Emmy(R) winner Tony Hale, Emmy(R) nominee Anna Chlumsky, Reid Scott, Matt Walsh, Timothy C. Simons, Sufe Bradshaw and Kevin Dunn.
