George R.R. Martin Signs Multi-Year Deal with HBO

According to Deadline, GAME OF THRONES' mastermind, George R.R. Martin, has officially signed a two-year deal with HBO.

Under the overall deal, Martin will continue on as executive producer of THRONES, as well as create and develop additional series and projects for the network.

The third season of Game of Thrones is set to premiere on March 31, and will adapt events from Martin's "A Storm of Swords."

The cast of season two included Emmy and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage, Michelle Fairley, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Aidan Gillen, Iain Glen, Kit Harington, Richard Madden, Maisie Williams, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Sophie Turner, Jack Gleeson and Alfie Allen.

The series is executive produced by DAVID BENIOFF, D.B. Weiss, Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger with co-executive producers Martin, Vanessa Taylor, Alan Taylor, Guymon Casady, Vince Gerardis and Bernadette Caulfield.
