GAME OF THRONES Director Teases 'Epic' Finale Episode

As Game of Thrones fans eagerly await Sunday night's season finale of the hit HBO series airing at 9/8c, director Alex Graves has promised a jaw-dropping night of drama.

"It's the largest, I think, most exciting episode that's been done," says Graves, who has directed six shows, including the episode which featured the murder of King Joffrey. He adds that the finale is, "a brilliant script that coincided with so many amazing events from the books" written by George R.R. Martin.

HBO has already renewed the drama for a fifth and sixth season. With 6.8 million viewers tuning in on Sundays, 'Thrones' is now the top-rated series for the cable network.

Based on the popular book series "A Song of Ice and Fire," by George R.R. Martin, the hit Emmy-winning fantasy series chronicles an epic struggle for Power in a vast and violent fantasy kingdom.

Members of the ensemble cast include Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Kit Harington, Natalie Dormer, Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner. The executive producers are David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger and Bernadette Caulfield, and co-executive producers are Guymon Casady, Vince Gerardis and George R.R. Martin.
