Fox's Brit Hume Secures First Interview With VP Nominee Paul Ryan Tonight, 8/14

FOX"s Brit Hume is the first to secure a one-on-one interview with Representative Paul Ryan since he was announced as the vice presidential nominee for Republican candidate Mitt Romney. The interview airs tonight, August 14 from Denver, Colorado during 'Special Report with Bret Baier.'

In a statement, the network announced: 

"FOX News Channel’s (FNC) Senior Political Analyst Brit Hume has secured the first sit-down solo interview with Representative Paul Ryan (R-WI) since Mitt Romney appointed him as his vice presidential running mate.

Taking place in Denver, CO, the interview will cover an array of topics pertinent to the 2012 Election including the economic future and what lies ahead from now until Election Day. Portions of the interview will run throughout the day, with the full interview to be presented on FNC’s Special Report with Bret Baier on Tuesday, August 14th at 6PM/ET."

With more than 35 years of journalism experience, Hume currently serves as a senior political analyst for FOX News Channel (FNC) and contributes to all major political coverage. Hume also is regular panelist on FOX's weekly public affairs program, "FOX News Sunday."
