Ed Asner to Reunite with Betty White on HOT IN CLEVELAND

As first reported on EWonline, actor Ed Asner will be reuniting with his 'Mary Tyler Moore Show' castmate Betty White on an upcoming episode of TV Land's HOT IN CLEVELAND, set to air sometime next summer.  On 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show', Asner played news station boss Lou Grant, while White played cooking show host Sue Ann Nivens.  There is currently no word as to the role Asner will be playing in the upcoming episode which begins filming in February 2012.  

This is not the first time the TV Land hit has played host to a television reunion.  During its second season, actress Mary Tyler Moore joinEd White for an episode of the show.  Also reuniting from past sitcoms were Valerie Bertinelli and her 'One Day at a Time' co-star Bonnie Franklin and Jane Leeves and her 'Frasier' co hort John Mahoney.  On the December 14th episode, actress Laura San Giacomo will be making an appearance with her former 'Just Shoot Me' co-star Wendie Malick. 

The third season of TV Land's HOT IN CLEVELAND premiered on November 30th.
