ESPN Audio Tips Off 20th Consecutive Season of NBA Broadcasts This October

ESPN Audio's 20th consecutive year of broadcasting the NBA will feature 29 regular-season games and tips off Opening Night on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 8 p.m. ET (broadcast begins at 7 p.m.) with Tim Duncan and the defending NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs hosting Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks. Kevin Calabro returns as ESPN Radio's lead play-by-play voice, alongside analyst Jon Barry, with Marc Kestecher (commentator) and PJ Carlesimo (analyst) calling select games.

ESPN Audio will broadcast a Christmas Day doubleheader beginning at 2:30 p.m. (broadcast begins at 1:30 p.m.) with a Western Conference duel showcasing San Antonio against Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder, immediately followed by LeBron James' first game back in Miami as the Cleveland Cavaliers visit the Heat.

ESPN Audio will also be the exclusive national broadcast home of NBA All-Star events, including the 64th All-Star Game from New York, the NBA Playoffs and the NBA Finals.

All broadcasts will be available on ESPN Radio, ESPNRadio.com and the ESPN Radio mobile app.

Additional highlights:

LeBron James' first game as a Cavalier when New York Knicks host the Cleveland Cavaliers on October 30;

Seven doubleheaders - December 25, January 25, February 8, March 1, March 8, March 15 and April 5;

Two Cleveland Cavaliers-Miami Heat matchups (Thursday, Oct. 25, and Thursday, April 2);
Two rematches of the 2013-14 Western Conference Finals series between the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder on December 25 and March 24;
11 Cleveland Cavaliers games, eight featuring the Chicago Bulls, five Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers appearances and four San Antonio Spurs tilts;

Multiple appearances by the NBA's biggest superstars, including last year's MVP Kevin Durant, Tim Duncan and reigning Finals MVP Kawahi Leonard, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Carmelo Anthony.
