Downton Abbey to Return as Full-Length Movie Set 10 Years in the Future

According to Mirror, DOWNTON ABBEY will return as a full-length movie set ten years after the end of the final episode. Though Dame Maggie Smith's announcement that she would not be a part of a film made the release of a film seem doubtful, the producers are planning on moving forward with the plans, jumping forward far enough in time for it to be plausible that Smith's character has passed away.

Show producer Gareth Neame said, "There is no script and no firm plan. We'll know more next year."
