CBS THIS MORNING Scores CBS's Best February Sweep Delivery in 22 Years

CBS THIS MORNING scored CBS's best February sweep delivery in the time period in 22 years (since 1994) for the February 2016 sweep while competitors declined, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings.

Compared to the February 2015 sweep, CBS THIS MORNING was the only network morning news show to add viewers (+11%, 3.92m from 3.53m) and grow in women 25-54 (+10%, 1.1/08 from 1.0/07).

CBS is in its closest competitive position with NBC in viewers for a February sweep in 22 years (since 1994) and closed the viewership gap by 630,000 viewers. CBS is in its closest competitive position with ABC in viewers for a February sweep in 17 years (since 1999) and closed the viewership gap by 1.05 million viewers compared to last February.

CBS THIS MORNING has grown its audience for 41 consecutive months while ABC has declined 22 consecutive months and NBC has declined 21 consecutive months in year-over-year comparisons. ABC has not experienced year-over-year monthly gains since April 2014, and NBC has not posted gains since May 2014.

In February 2016, CBS THIS MORNING averaged 3.94m viewers, up +1.54m viewers from its January 2012 launch.

For the week ending March 4, CBS THIS MORNING is the only network morning news broadcast to post year-to-year gains in viewers (+5%, 3.79m from 3.63m), women 25-54 (+10%, 1.1/07 from 1.0/07) and women 18-49 (+14%, 0.8/06 from 0.7/06) compared to last year. ABC declined -12% in viewers, -13% in women 25-54 and -19% in women 18-49 compared to the same week last year. NBC is down -6% in viewers, -9% in women 25-54 and -6% in women 18-49 compared to the same week last year.
