CBS THIS MORNING Delivers Largest Audience in More Than a Decade

For the week ending April 24, CBS THIS MORNING delivered the Network's largest audience in the time period in 11 years (since the week ending Feb. 6, 2004), posting a +24% gain in viewers (3.72m from 3.01m) compared to the same week last year. CBS THIS MORNING added +710,000 viewers, closing the viewership gap with NBC by 730,000 viewers compared to last year and putting the CBS MORNING NEWS broadcast in its closest competitive position with NBC in more than 20 years (since the week ending Dec. 30, 1994).

Additionally, CBS THIS MORNING posted a +13% gain in adults 25-54 (0.9/07 from 0.8/06), the demographic most important to those who advertise in news, as well as a +17% gain in women 18-49 (0.7/06 from 0.6/04) according to Nielsen live plus same-day ratings. CBS THIS MORNING was the only network morning broadcast to post gains in viewers, adults 25-54 and women 18-49 compared to the same week last year.

Season-to-date, CBS THIS MORNING continues to be the only network morning news program to post a viewer gain (+8%, 3.36m from 3.10m), and the only program to maintain its adults 25-54 rating (0.9/07) compared to a year ago.

CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY

On Saturday, April 25, CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY posted year-to-year gains in adults 25-54 (+20%, 0.6/05 from 0.5/03) and viewers (+25%, 2.26m from 1.81m) compared to a year before. CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY added +450,000 viewers compared to last year, closing the gap with NBC by more than 350,000 viewers.

Season-to-date, CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY is up +20% in adults 25-54 (0.6/04 from 0.5/04) and +8% in viewers (2.12m from 1.97m), and is the only Saturday morning network news broadcast posting gains in either measure.
