According to The Hollywood Reporter, Broadway's Nolan Gerard Funk will soon lead the all-male 'Warbler' choir group on the FOX musical drama series GLEE. The Canadian actor and singer joins recently added cast members Melissa Benoist, Becca Tobin, Jacob Artist and Glee Project season two winner Blake Jenner on the show.

Funk will portray 'Hunter', the Warblers new lead singer. He will first appear in the seventh episode of the new season in which he will attempt to bring Darren Criss' Blaine back to the private school a cappella group where he began.

Funk made his Broadway debut in the  2009 revival of 'Bye Bye Birdie' in the role of Conrad Birdie. The actor appeared in Nickelodeon’s musical TV movie Spectacular! and has had guest roles on Warehouse 13 and Aliens in America. He has appeared on film in Another Dirty Movie, The Canyons and 'House at the End of the Street.'

GLEE airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on Fox.
