Tonight's season finale launched us right where we left off: Amanda was attacking Ash, Kelly was trying to pry the cover of the Necronomicon from Pablo's face, Ruby was relishing in her potential triumph, and Heather was sitting around looking horrified.

Amanda leapt around the room for a bit before Ash disposed of her. I suppose Ash and Amanda were never destined to sit in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G, despite the blatant mostly one-sided sexual innuendo. Although Amanda could be annoying from time to time - i.e. her Act First Ask Questions Never mentality - I think I'll miss her.

Ruby disappeared with Pablo into the basement. Ash went in after them with only a bit of hesitation. The door to the basement closed behind him, and Kelly couldn't get it open. Heather begged for Kelly to leave with her. She wasn't handling the situation very well. She did a lot of screaming and whining, while Kelly basically told her to suck it up because they had work to do.

The cabin started to bleed and toy with their heads. The worst part involved roaches crawling out of Heather's shorts. Even writing that sentence made my stomach hurt. Kelly was tossed outside and Heather was trapped indoors; more screaming and crying. Kelly was briefly pinned beneath a couch, which she managed to move. She crawled towards the front door, but an invisible force dragged her into a back room.

Outside, Kelly fought to get back inside. She managed to set the perimeter of the cabin on fire. I'm not sure how she expected Ash to get out if he survived his clash with Ruby, but never mind. The doors and windows opened suddenly and amputated parts of Heather flew out. Heather's decapitated head made a comment about Pablo being Kelly's boyfriend. Kelly overreacted strongly to that, so maybe they'll date next season. She ran back inside to help her friends.

Ruby chanted as a masked Pablo heaved on the ground. Ash entered and blew a few holes into Ruby who stumbled back into the wall. Though wounded, Ruby continued to chant and the darkness took over Pablo, who attacked Ash. He came in and out of the demonic trance, begging Ash to kill him before he did something terrible. Ash's chainsaw hand ran out of gas and Pablo got free. Ruby's bullet wounds healed themselves.

Kelly arrived and Pablo attacked. He held her down on the ground and began to choke her. Ash fought Ruby and got the Candarian dagger away from her. Though the bullets only managed to slow her down, the dagger seemed to do some real damage. Ash had her right where he wanted to then Ruby began to talk, and you know how easy it is to talk Ash out of doing the right thing.

She offered Ash an out. She could release Kelly, Pablo and Ash to the paradise that is Jacksonville. Pablo, still able to momentarily slide out of the spell, pleaded for Ash to do something; he wasn't able to stop choking Kelly and she was losing the fight. Ruby continued on about how she just wanted to rule the darkness; not end humanity. He could let her go and she would let the three of them live.

No, Ash, no!

So he did. The three left in Ash's car, trailer in tow, presumably headed to Jacksonville. Ash seemed content with his choice, and ignored Kelly and Pablo's words of concern. How could this end well for anyone? Over the radio it was being reported that sink holes were appearing randomly throughout the state. Ash turned the radio off. The news was nothing but negativity anyway.

So what did you think of the finale? Are you pumped for next season? What deadly things can we expect to rise from the sink holes?
