Anybody else starting to have a serious crush on Susan Ross? Her evolution into a serious and tough VP is a revelation. Oh and look, even Shondaland has to deal with a Drumpf-esque persona. It's art imitating life, once again.

As Huck and Marcus continue to watch Havi's soccer games over surveillance, Huck notices Kim's new boyfriend, Sean. He immediately is suspicious and thinks he is someone he once tortured. Charlie investigates and finds nothing, but Huck is convinced. They are forced to track him down after he basically kidnaps Sean and knocks him out. Huck eventually admits that he was wrong and he really has to let Havi and Kim go so they can have a normal life. (Does he think Sean is just going to "forget" that guy, Harold that kidnapped him?)

Mellie dances with the devil, Hollis Doyle, as she is desperate for funding. When he asks her to promise to get rid of the EPA, she loses his support. Upon meeting with Susan and Fitz in the Oval Office, Fitz quickly gets sick of his Koch-like threats and kicks him out, much to Susan's dismay. Susan confronts Fitz and tells him that it is SHE who is the candidate and she will handle herself. Hollis, meanwhile, goes back to Mellie. After a few drinks, she admits to him her entire platform which he steals and announces his candidacy the next day using her words. (Come on, Mellie... be better than that!)

Abby finds out that Cyrus is secretly running Vargas' campaign and knows she can bring him down. Cyrus tries to convince her he was just offering some advice and not to tell Fitz. She makes a power move of her own and tells Fitz everything. Fitz is ready to surrender, when Abby tells him of a plan that he can get rid of Cyrus and still win. Fitz tells her to fire Cyrus and the Chief-of-Staff job is hers. She does so and joins Susan and Fitz in the Oval for a drink. Is there more of a conflicting feeling watching Cyrus get played? He has the amazing ability to be a villain and yet be so sympathetic.

Liv is going all sorts of crazy having Quinn and Charlie install surveillance equipment so she can fully stalk Jake and fiance, Vanessa. But, come on, we KNOW Jake knows what she's doing. He even uses it to his advantage staring fully into one of the cameras. He shows up and calls her out on it and she still cannot believe he isn't up to something. After a screaming match with Quinn that Liv never works anymore by basically abandoning OPA and a heart to heart with Huck about letting go of his family, she offers a truce to Jake and apologizes admitting she misses him. She is JUST about to buy his story, when she hears Vanessa's recount on how they met and realize that it is the exact move he used to get to know Olivia when he was working for her father. So close, Jake. SO close.

So much information. First and foremost... David, what are you doing? That's pretty much it.

Second, I am so happy that Quinn yelled at Liv and Liv actually admitted how much the kidnapping screwed her up and influenced all of her choices over the past year. And finally admitting to Quinn just how much she trusts her and values her was long overdue. And poor, Marcus. Every day he must ask himself "What have I gotten myself into?" I hope he gets more story lines soon to develop his character. There's a lot there and we never get to see it. Him finding out what a psychopath Huck is was magical.

And then there's Drumpf Hollis. I mean, naturally they would have to include a character whose candidacy seems like a joke and yet it is the one that people inexplicably jump on board with, right? It's way more fun to watch on a fictional show though, in my opinion. So now we have four runners in the mix; Susan, Hollis, Mellie and Vargas. And at this point, I honestly don't know who will win, but I hope upon hope that in the end, the American people will get out and vote and stop any atrocities that can't be undone from happening.... On SCANDAL, I mean... #politics

Lastly, and I'll say this every week until it happens, Fitz and Abby... that's totally happening, yeah?
