Artists to Turn Fans' Favorite FRINGE Moments in Posters

Fans can go to http://fringebenefitsproject.com to vote for their favorite FRINGE moments - those that receive the most votes will be recreated as posters and showcased at Gallery 1988. The event will take place Jan. 9, 2013.

Proceeds from all sold posters will benefit The Mission Continues, a group that encourages soldiers and veterans to help lead their communities.
There are only four episodes of FRINGE left, in the next, the countdown to the climactic series finale continues, the Fringe team is running out of time to save the world. Peter, Olivia, Astrid and Walter scramble to tap into a key piece of the puzzle to defeat the Observers, so they enlist the aid of Nina Sharp, who conjures up a plan in the all-new "Anomaly XB-6783746" episode of FRINGE airing Friday, Dec. 21 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).
Gallery1988, opened in 2004, is the world's No. 1 destination for pop culture art. With its roots in Los Angeles, its opening night receptions have seen upwards of 2,000 attendees and overnight lines of almost 30 hours. They've created art shows like Crazy 4 Cult, in which 100 artists create pieces inspired by classic cult films, and worked with luminaries like Stan Lee, Beastie Boys, Weird Al Yankovic and Judd Apatow to create art shows, packed with affordable paintings and prints, all based around the influence they've had on emerging artists. From the demand of these shows, Tyson/Givens Marketing was born, a marketing division of the gallery that has partnered with companies including Paramount Pictures (recently on their official 100th Anniversary poster), ABC, Disney, Mattel, Sony and FunnyOrDie to utilize "artvertising," a method coined by G1988 to create organic, heartfelt advertising using the 1000's of artists within their network. They recently also created and spearheaded the "Breaking Bad" Art Campaign, a wildly successful marketing initiative, partnering with Sony, to promote the most recent season of the series similar to their work with the TV show "LOST," that was also deemed "marketing genius" by Entertainment Weekly. G1988 and Tyson/Givens have also worked on movies including "Young Adult" and "The Fighter"; TV shows such as "No Ordinary Family" and comic Nick Kroll's comedy special; and work hand in hand with creating product for Jason Reitman's LACMA Live Read Series and annual PaleyFest events. Currently, Gallery1988 is exhibiting "A Tribute to Judd Apatow" and "100 Robots by Dave Pressler."
The Mission Continues challenges veterans to serve and lead in communities across America. The organization was founded by former U.S. Navy SEAL Eric Greitens in 2007, when he returned from his final deployment to Iraq, fueled by the deep belief that veterans are civic assets. The Mission Continues offers six-month community service fellowships to veterans, awarding more than 500 fellowships to date. The organization does not offer charity; rather, it challenges returning service members to utilize their tremendous skills and leadership to continue serving our country at home.
