Amazon Expands Exclusive PBS Licensing Deal for Prime Members

Amazon and PBS Distribution expanded their licensing agreement to bring even more MASTERPIECE programming exclusively to Prime members at no additional cost to their membership after they premiere on local PBS stations. Under this new multi-year deal Amazon Prime will be the exclusive subscription streaming home for all new programs that are broadcast by PBS under as part of its critically-acclaimed and award-winning MASTERPIECE series.

New MASTERPIECE series that will come to Prime includes the 1950's detective drama Grantchester, the iconic romantic saga Poldark, the critically acclaimed, political thriller based on the adaptation of the Hilary Mantel novels WOLF HALL and Bring Up the Bodies titled Wolf Hall, and Indian Summers-an explosive drama focusing on the decline of the British EMPIRE and birth of modern India.

Prime already includes hit PBS series like Carnival Films/MASTERPIECE co-production Downton Abbey-now with all five seasons available for Prime members-as well as fan favorite series, Mr. Selfridge andThe Escape Artist. In addition Prime members also have access to hundreds of shows from PBS including NOVA, documentaries from veteran Producer and Director Ken Burns, and popular PBS Kids shows like Wild Kratts, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, Caillou and Dinosaur Train.

Prime members can instantly stream and enjoy these fan-favorite PBS titles at no additional cost to their membership on hundreds of devices through the Amazon Video app on TVs, connected devices, and mobile devices as well as on laptops atwww.amazon.com/PIV. Prime members can also download these titles for offline viewing on Fire devices-the only subscription streaming service in the U.S. that offers download capabilities.
