Agatha Christie's AND THEN THERE WERE NONE Comes to Long Beach Playhouse, Opening 1/19

When it comes to "who done it," nobody does it better than Agatha Christie. And even amongst Agatha Christie's work, "And Then There Were None" holds top billing as her bestselling book - ever.

"It is a book where everyone who gets it, deserves it" said Andrew Vonderschmitt, the LBP's Producing Artistic Director. "Eight people are invited to a remote and desolate island for a weekend. They don't know who their host is or why they are there. The tie that binds them is each has committed a murder for which he or she has never been caught or punished."

With a cast that includes eight marooned murderers, house servants and a mysterious voice from the gramophone, And Then There Were None offers many plum roles that are expertly played by an ensemble of actors that is a mix of LBP veterans and those making their first appearances on our stage.

Among the returning actors are favorites including Jerry Loeb, Harriet Whittmyer, Cort Huckabone, Brian Canup, Bruce Thomas Eason and Douglas Seagraves. Making their debuts at The Playhouse are William Gary Penn, Leslie Joyce, Jennifer Whitney, Lee Samuel Tanng, and Bill Carson.

And Then There Were None is directed by Sharyn Case whose work at The Playhouse has been enjoyed by LBP audiences for several years. Sharyn has also been Assistant Director at South Coast Repertory and has received much recognition for her work there.

Donna Fritsche, Greg Fritsche, Sean Gray, Danny Driskol and Brian Canup together create the set, costumes, and ambiance that will keep the audience on The Edge of their seats wondering who will fall next - and the biggest question of all - who did it?

The show opens on Saturday, January 19 and continues on Friday nights (8 p.m.), Saturday nights (8 p.m.) and Sunday matinees, (2 p.m.) through Saturday February 16, 2013.
