According to The Hollywood Reporter, former American Idol contestants Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young have set their wedding date for June 1st in Los Angeles. The couple has also revealed that Young's proposal, which took place during the show's season 11 finale, was a complete surprise to DeGarmo.

DeGarmo's brother David will take military leave to give his sister away at the wedding. The couple is currently searching for an LA venue and have put together a first draft of their guest list that includes 350 people. There is no word on whether they will sing at their wedding.

The happy couple co-starred in the 2009 Broadway revival of Hair.

Ace Young made his Broadway debut in GREASE in the role of "Kenickie." An "American Idol" finalist in Season 5 and a Grammy nominated songwriter, Ace has guest-starred on Fox's "Bones," co-hosted "American Idol Extra" and co-produced his debut album, "Ace Young".

Actress and American Idol runner-up Diana DeGarmo made her Broadway debut in a four-month run in Hairspray as nerdy character Penny Pingleton in February 2006. She played the role of Sarah, the sexy, blind librarian and love interest of Toxie in the off-Broadway musical, The Toxic Avenger, and went on to star as Sheila in the Broadway company of Hair and Doralee Rhodes in the national tour of 9 to 5: The Musical.
