During an AMERICNA HORROR STORY event held at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday night, FX producer Ryan Murphy announced that the new season will of the series will be called AHS: Cult. The season's official website was revealed during a waterfront spectacle which took place outside the San Diego Convention Center. The seventh installment of the groundbreaking and award-winning anthology series from Co-Creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk will return to FX on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 10 PM ET/PT. In other AHS news, series creator Ryan Murphy announced on Twitter this week that GIRLS star Lena Dunham is joining the latest installment of the anthology series:

Previously announced cast members include AHS alum Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, and newcomers Billie Lourd and Billy Eichner.

The sixth installment, American Horror Story: Roanoke, recently received four Emmy(R) Award nominations in the hairstyling, makeup and sound editing categories. The American Horror Story franchise is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television.
