48 HOURS is Saturday Night's #1 Program in Viewers

48 HOURS: "Death at Soho House" was Saturday night's #1 program in viewers according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Feb. 1, 2014.

At 10:00 PM, 48 HOURS: "Death at Soho House" was first in viewers (5.24m) and in adults 25-54 (1.3/04, tied with NBC) - the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. Compared to the same night last year (2013 NFL Honors (S)), 48 Hours was up +27% in viewers.

"Death at Soho House" featured Troy Roberts and 48 HOURS' look inside the investigation into the death of swimsuit designer Sylvie Cachay and her ties to the son of the Oscar-winning songwriter behind the 1970s hit "You Light Up My Life."

Cachay was a rising designer who was found by a Soho House worker dead, partially clothed in an overflowing bathtub. She had checked into the Soho House with her boyfriend, Nicholas Brooks, the son of Academy Award-winning songwriter, Joseph Brooks. Nicholas was not around when her body was found. Police noticed a pill bottle nearby, suggesting the death might have been an accident. However, a medical examiner spotted marks on her neck that seemed out of place. The investigation turned to Brooks. His sister Amanda Brooks defended him, saying he was only arrested and convicted because of their father's famous name.

Roberts and 48 Hours piece the story together through interviews with Cachay's family and friends, Brooks' sister and attorney, Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance, police who worked on the case, and journalist and 48 Hours consultant Murray Weiss. 48 HOURS: "Death at Soho House" is produced by Patti Aronofsky and Elena DiFiore. David Spungen is the producer-editor. Marlon Disla and Ken Blum are the editors. Al Briganti is the executive editor. Susan Zirinsky is the senior executive producer.
