Opera Columbus to Expand 'ON THE EDGE' to Second Location

Opera Columbus will continue their successful, innovative Opera on the Edge program, presenting an hour-long, abridged, English-language adaptation of Leoncavallo's classic opera, Pagliacci. Cast with emerging national artists and local performers, this powerful and gut-wrenching drama portrays the twisted love triangle that comes between a husband and wife in a traveling troupe of players.

Opera Columbus will present Pagliacci at Shadowbox Live's Backstage Bistro (503 S. Front St.) for weekend-only performances October 12-November 2, Saturdays at 4pm and Sundays at 5pm. Tickets to Shadowbox performances are $10 and can be purchased by calling the Shadowbox box office at 614.416.7625.

Opera Columbus will present two performances of Pagliacci at The Refectory on Thursday, October 16, and Friday, October 17, at 6pm daily. Refectory tickets are $90 and include a four-course dinner with a pre-set menu (beverages, tax, and gratuity not included). Held in the Choir Loft. Seating is limited to the first 36 guests. This innovative program is designed to provide an introduction to opera for those who have no experience with the art form or who may not be inclined to attend a traditional opera performance in a theatre.
