A Lana Del Ray impersonator, make-out sessions with puppets, shaving with an ax, sexy, provocative images all make up the bizarre world of The Griswolds' "The Courtship of Summer Preasley" video. Check it out below!

The video was a three way concept between Whitehall and Dan from the band as well as Jefferton James (Director). It was made in Sydney, Australia and a lot of the shots were actually done in Dan and Whitehall's house. As for the Lana Del Ray character, Dan found an image on Tumblr of a guy dressed as Lana and thought it was brilliant. He posted it on Facebook and it was as if the stars aligned. Of all the places in the world that this man could have been from it was Melbourne. Someone tagged him and Dan asked him to do the video. He said yes! Brilliant man in his own rights, the post of him that Dan found on Tumblr has over 300,000 shares.

One of Wind-up Records' exciting new signings, the tropical-alternative band The Griswolds (Sydney, Australia) will be going into the studio with Tony Hoffer (M83, Phoenix) in January and will releasing their debut album in 2014. Their infectious melodies and catchy tunes has everyone from triple j radio, Australia's premiere alternative radio station, to the blogosphere talking about their joyful sounds whichNeon Gold Blog hails "Their euphoric slice of indie pop brings to mind the youthful exuberance of Vampire Weekend with the nonchalant cool of The Strokes and percussive intensity of Friendly Fires..." Upon the release of their single "Heart of a Lion" in Australia, it was immediately added into high rotation on triple j and ended 2012 as one of the station's most played tracks of the year. The international airwaves were quick to take notice with the song attracting airplay in over 20 countries worldwide and it also reached #3 on the radio airplay charts in The Netherlands via tastemaker station 3FM and was an iTunes single of the week in the region. The band recently made a stop in New York City to play several CMJ shows to rave reviews and big crowds.
