Watch: New Kingston Heads to Jamaica for New 'Today' Music Video

New York City-based reggae band New Kingston premiered the video for 'Today' from their third album Kingston City, released on February 23rd via Easy Star Records. The video for "Today" was filmed both in and near the city of Kingston, Jamaica, in scenic locations like Harbor View and Waterhouse. Scroll down to watch the video!

The video, which opens with "Love & Unity, Keep Community", clearly demonstrates both the band's message and their love for Kingston. The video was directed by Dameon Gayle and his WMP Warriors Musick Production team.

The fast-rising, family group features three brothers (Stephen, Courtney Jr., and Tahir) accompanied by their father, Courtney Sr., who plays bass. The new record includes 12 songs and guest appearances by members of Tribal Seeds, Hawaiian singer-songwriter Kimie Miner, Sister Carol, The Wailing Souls, and the late, great reggae legend Sugar Minott. Various national media outlets have praised the new album for its uniqueness and originality.

The group continues to bring an eclectic mix of Jamaican roots and New York City vibes to the ever evolving genre of reggae in a U.S. scene. New Kingston is currently set to perform 16 shows across the U.S. this spring.
