For the third year in a row WFUV, New York (90.7 FM/wfuv.org) and its indie music channel, The Alternate Side (thealternateside.org), return to Rockwood Music Hall in New York City for a live broadcast on October 21, from 5-9 p.m., the first day of the annual CMJ Music Marathon. This year's lineup includes the Oklahoma quintet Horse Thief, the Brooklyn-based singer Elle King, the soulful artist Son Little, and the British trio Happyness. The broadcast will be hosted by Russ Borris, Carmel Holt, Alisa Ali, and Kara Manning.

Thanks to the sponsorship of Squarespace, a compilation with a track from each of the artists will be pressed onto vinyl in the back room at Rockwood while the broadcast is in progress. These will all be given away to fans at the venue that night.

"CMJ continues to be a relevant festival for bands to get noticed, and best of all, it's in our town!" said WFUV Program Director Rita Houston. "There are over 1300 artists who perform at more than 80 venues. It's a major source of music discovery, and music discovery is what we are all about. In the past two years we've introduced our listeners to standouts like Savoir Adore,Little Green Cars, and Lucius through our CMJ broadcasts, and we think this year's artists will make a lasting impact."

WFUV Music Director Russ Borris added, "We couldn't be more excited about our lineup for this year's showcase at CMJ. From the psychedelic folk-rock of Horse Thief and the swagger and sass of Elle King, to the vintage soul of Son Little and the melodic fuzz (and U.S. radio debut!) of South London's Happyness, it promises to be a pretty special night."

Funding for WFUV's ongoing coverage of live concerts and festivals comes from The Agnes Varis Trust, supporting affordable access to the arts, education and healthcare.
