Victoria+Jean "Firecracker" moves at the pace of an electric rollin' stone. In this case, the stones are 550 marbles "creating geometric shapes and paths, blasting light through their glassy bodies, and even shaving some of them down into powder" to take "an everyday object and uses it to summon dazzling colors, fervent energy, and explosions of light." The European duo creates a vibrant energy to the single with a sick pop beat paired with a sexy electric blues guitar riff. The single "Firecracker" will be a part of the duo's upcoming follow-up to their previous release, the critically acclaimed V+J EP.

"When we first started to write firecracker, it started like an old blue song, like the ones where you could taste the whiskey from the singer's breath...but the more we worked on it, the more it started to get electric, having a beat that wouldn't stop thumping."

Meeting in Brussels, Victoria+Jean's songs reflect their personal lives while they are constantly moving between cities & flights- from London to Stockholm, Paris to Brussels, and finally New York. The duo have worked with some of today's greatest sound engineers including John Parish (P J Harvey), Ian Caple (Tricky, Tindersticks, Bashung), Christoffer Berg (Depeche Mode, The Knife, Fever Ray) and Rob Kirwan (U2, Depeche Mode, The Horrors), and the high priestess of mastering, Mandy Parnell.

Stay tuned for more news from Victoria+Jean coming soon and be on the lookout for their upcoming album due out later this year!
