Each month Untitled Supper Club continues its new tradition of celebrating a legendary American artist during their birth month with a night of live music tribute from a favorite Chicago artist. Tonight, May 7, Untitled will welcome Get Up With the Get Downs as they cover the music of James Brown, the Godfather of Funk and Soul. Ketel One and Bulleit specialty cocktails will be available for $10 each.

Known for his impressive vocals and nonstop energy onstage (not to forget his splits), James Brown started from humble beginnings in South Carolina to become the hardest working man in show business, with 17 number-one singles on the R&B charts and acceptance into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to show for it.

Get Up with the Get Downs, a Chicago-based 8-piece band founded in 2008, bases their sets on singles by James Brown and other artists from the Golden Age of Funk, and they have performed with Brown-like energy for thousands of audience members since their formation.

In its fifth edition, Tribute Nights is a new music driven event series presented by Untitled Supper Club. Each month, Untitled will celebrate the birthday of a legendary American musician with the help of a local music group that will perform covers of their greatest hits. The inaugural tribute night has honored Sam Cooke, Johnny Cash, Aretha Franklin and last month, Muddy Waters.

The Get Up With the Get Downs concert is set for May 7 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event is complimentary, and guests may RSVP at https://jamesbrowntrib.eventbrite.com. Guests wishing to reserve tables are required to make dinner reservations by calling the restaurant at 312-880-1511.

Untitled is located at 111 West Kinzie Street, Chicago, IL 60654. Call 312-880-1511 or visit www.untitledchicago.com for more information.
