The Garden Theatre has announced UCF's Flying Horse Big Band concert, tonight, October 17, 2014 at 8pm as part of the 35th anniversary of WUCF-FM 89.9 Jazz & More.

Swing into WUCF's milestone anniversary as the Flying Horse Big Band presents their high energy show featuring classic jazz standards by Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, Woody Herman, Van Morrison, and many more that will thrill and delight audiences both young and old. Special guest performers including renowned trumpeter Dan Miller and singer T-Bone will be backed by the expansive sound of the Flying Horse Big Band under the direction of Jeff Rupert.

This past spring, WUCF?FM Orlando was rated the nation's top full-time public jazz radio station. According to Neilsen Audio ratings, WUCF-FM topped popular jazz stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, and many other markets. WUCF-FM, currently celebrating its 35th year on the air, is a listener-supported service of the University of Central Florida, Orlando. WUCF-FM broadcasts a 24-hour schedule of jazz music and other non-commercial programming from studios on the UCF campus.
