New Jersey's public television network will host its first major benefit event at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) on Wednesday, May 28, at 6pm.

The benefit, co-chaired by Ralph Izzo (Chairman & CEO, PSE&G) and Josh Weston (Public Media NJ, Inc. chairman and former CEO, ADP), will honor two veteran producers, Steve Adubato, Ph.D (Caucus New Jersey, One-On-One with Steve Adubato) and Sandra King (Due Process) and Verizon for their contributions to public television. NJTV News' Managing Editor Mike Schneider will serve as Master of Ceremonies.

Benefit guests will enjoy a pre-performance reception and dinner followed by the awards and performance by The Midtown Men celebrating the music that defined the '60s from The Beatles and The Rascals to Motown and The Four Seasons.

"NJTV has made great strides in a very short period of time, and has grown to a point we're proud to host this benefit celebration," said Weston. "Like public television itself, this will be an evening that will engage and entertain."

"Steve Adubato and Sandra King are local icons with series that have been associated with New Jersey public television for decades," said NJTV General Manager John Servidio. "It's fitting that their award-winning work in public affairs programming be recognized during NJTV's special event.

"Verizon has been a cornerstone funder for us since our earliest days on the air," added Servidio. "We want to thank them for being a part of the critical support network that makes our local programming possible."
