Music used to actually be about the music. So can it be again. Highlighting The Lauren Wolf Band's evolution and collaboration, CAUDog Records is proud to release the new original music album "Rise Up" in September 2014. The unique sound releases simultaneously with the band's new music video for "Run Daddy Run," which leads off the album.

Though "Rise Up" is the group's second full-length album, it marks their first full-band collaboration and reflects their strength as a soulful, hard-hitting live band.

The new "Rise Up" album is now available online at iTunes and Amazon.com. The new "Run Daddy Run" music video is available on YouTube.

It takes many bands years of performing in front of live audiences and rehearsing privately until they can figure out their sound and who they really are. For this band, "Rise Up" is the result. Marrying the powerhouse vocals of classic rock artists like Janis Joplin with the rock/blues guitar licks of Jimi Hendrix, the band pays homage to yesterday's greats while creating a new sound all to their own.

With 10 originals and one cover, "Rise Up" is a departure from their first album, "All My Secrets". This album is comprised of contributions from each band member. While "All My Secrets" was primarily Lauren's story, "Rise Up" is a collection of what this band family has become.

"Never before has our band gelled so creatively and collaboratively. We couldn't be more honored to share with you everything we've worked for so far in one 11-track compilation," Lauren Wolf said. "'Rise Up' is a return to the way timeless music used to be when it was really all about the music."

Signing to the indie record label CAUDog Records in 2014, Executive Producer Michael Teach and Producer Ellis Clark agreed that the band's live sound is what sets them apart. "All My Secrets" was recorded in Los Angeles at Capitol Studios with a Grammy-winning producer.

"Rise Up" brings the band back home to Chicago with a different line of thinking: allowing the album to authentically capture their high stage energy and true live sound. CAUDog Records shares The Lauren Wolf Band's vision for creating an honest album that's true to the artist without overproducing and doctoring it beyond who the musicians actually are.

The new album diversely spans the gamut from classic rock to soul, blues, pop, swamp and even Latin. Through a catchy chorus and memorable attitude, the single "Run Daddy Run" emotes the mix of classic rock with a quirky 1960s soul vibe. The single is also used for the band's second official music video, which time warps between two different decades to show the good and evil in all of us.

Other notable tracks include the empowering "Rise Up," which can best be described as an industrial swamp tune. An epic rock symphony of sorts, "The Night the Sound Went Out" is a true band story and is the only duet on the album. While guitarist Patrick Dugan is also heard on that track for his vocals, his guitar is featured in his self-written "Space Wolf" as the band's only instrumental. One of the first tunes written for the album, "Home to Me" is a bluesy rock ballad that cuts straight to the heart.

The Lauren Wolf Band is the 2012 national winner of the Live Nation Battle of the Bands. The band has played the stages of iconic venues including the House of Blues, City Winery, Lincoln Hall, The Metro, Mayne Stage and many more along with festivals such as Northalsted Market Days and venues throughout the country.
