The Harmaleighs Share 'Birds of a Feather' Video with AfterEllen

Nashville Americana duo The Harmaleighs recently released their new EP, Hiraeth. Cut from a pastiche of indie, folk, pop and Americana, their songs can only be described as poetic, passionate and powerful. Now, The Harmaleighs are elated to release their video for lead single "Birds of a Feather" exclusively with AfterEllen.

Bringing the lyrics to life through beautiful choreography, the routine is brought to an abrupt hault when the dancer is unable to grab the attention of those right in front of her, no matter how hard she tries. "Birds of a Feather" is "simultaneously mesmerizing and comforting, much like the song itself." according to AfterEllen. With them continuing, "it's a poignantly graceful video with imagery that is in perfect harmony with the music and lyrics it accompanies."

The Harmaleighs are Haley Grant (lead vocals, guitar) and Kaylee Jasperson (bass, harmonies) and the band-mates and parters wrote the Hiraeth EP after an nine-month odyssey where they packed up everything they owned (including their pug Gus) to hit the road. 'Hiraeth' is a Welsh word they stumbled upon while on tour, meaning: Longing for a home, or the feeling rootlessness and being homesick. Sparking a deep understanding within the girls during their roving existence, Hiraeth felt the perfect way to tie together the songs written during this time.
