TEN29 is excited to announce the release of their new single "Speed of Light". This is the second song released to the public from their first album titled "Feels Like Music". You can listen to an extended snippet of the song for free on the TEN29 SoundCloud page and it's available for purchase on iTunes and Google Play.

TEN29 is a newly formed duo made up of brothers Dominic and Giovanni Amato. After years of performing separately and together on the stage, they decided to come together and collaborate on a new project. The name TEN29 represents the days that the brothers were born. Dominic was born on January 10th and his younger brother, Giovanni, was born on August 29th.

Dominic plays several instruments on the album, such as the saxophone, keyboard and vocoder/EWI (electrical wind instrument). Giovanni is the lead vocalist and collaborates on song writing.

"Speed of Light" was co-written by Dominic Amato, Morgann McClanahan David and Greg "Gregatron" Williams and co-produced by Dominic Amato, Greg "Gregatron" Williams and Paul David. On the surface Speed of Light is a love story. The lyrics paint a picture of two people who long to spend eternity together. But, on a deeper level, the bigger story is about ushering love into a world without it. When that happens, the effect on the cosmic scale is immeasurable. Their existence will never be the same.

Dominic and Morgann, the co-writers, said the inspiration for the song came from the Biblical story of creation, in which a powerful love created something from the blackness of nothing. The song lyrics express the creative power of love to bring into existence something new, beautiful and powerful.

TEN29's first release, "Bring the Funk Back", was a funk song that pays homage to the history of funk legends like James Brown, Parliament and Sly and the Family Stone. "Speed of Light" is an entirely different approach to the music Dominic and Giovanni have created in the past. It offers up familiar EDM synth programming sounds, but takes a different approach to the genre. Adding a signature live instrumentation style, which is uncommon in EDM, featuring Akil Thompson on Bass, Paul David on guitar and Dominic Amato performing Vocoder and live horns, is unique to this particular genre - setting TEN29 apart from the rest.

This new song can be categorized as electronic dance music (EDM) and features a variety of live instruments as well as Giovanni on vocals.

"TEN29 is excited about the release of Speed of Light because it's an EDM track. It's a totally different genre from that of the first single which was a funk tribute. TEN29 is a genre defying artist. We don't want to be pigeon-holed into one genre. Speed of Light represents another facet of the band's many styles." - Dominic Amato

Expect to hear even more diversity in style and genre with each new song release from the "Feels Like Music" album. Although Dominic and Giovanni have musical roots in R&B, Jazz, Funk and Hip Hop they are always striving to grow and develop new creative abilities. No matter the genre, when they create a piece of music, they want to push the boundaries while still remaining authentic to the distinct style of that genre.

TEN29 plans to release another single from "Feels Like Music" within the next two months. Fans can follow the duo on a number of social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube and as well stay informed on tour dates and other announcements by visiting their website: http://www.ten29music.com.
