VH1 Save The Music Foundation's 2012 Songwriters Music Series finale will return on Thursday, January 17th at Hard Rock Cafe New York in Times Square after being postponed due to Hurricane Sandy. Superstar artist and producer Swizz Beatz will bring together a collection of his famous friends for a one of a kind evening! All funds raised will benefit the VH1 Save The Music Foundation and go towards the creation of the Tri-State Sandy Music Relief Fund, which will allow the Foundation to provide special grants of instruments to schools affected by the storm.

This special benefit will celebrate creativity displayed through production and musical composition. In addition, it will help to provide the tools needed for students to be innovative in the classroom and beyond, encouraging them to use music as a means of expression. The event will feature a sponsored bar featuring premium wine from William Hill Estate Wines and passed hors d'oeuvres as well as up close and personal acoustic performances. Participating sponsors for Songwriters NY include: RAYMOND WEIL USA, Monster DNA Headphones, The Mizzy Jonas Family Foundation, Imagine Chocolate, Zico Coconut Water and Stir Events by Match.com.

"New York City and the Tri-State area is my home and it's a place that constantly inspires music and creativity for myself and millions of others," says Swizz. "I'm going to bring out some friends and put on a crazy show to support the VH1 Save the Music Foundation and the creation of the Tri-State Sandy Music Relief Fund so this creativity can thrive again for kids all over the East Coast."

"It is such a thrill to have Swizz Beatz join VH1 and the VH1 Save The Music Foundation for this unique and inspired cause," said Paul Cothran , Vice President & Executive Director of the VH1 Save The Music Foundation. "As he rallies his friends and puts together what is sure to be an unforgettable night, we will be able to help restore instrumental music to schools devastated by Hurricane Sandy."
