Steve Burns (the original host of Blue's Clues) and Steven Drozd (The Flaming Lips' multi-instrumentalist and multi-Grammy winner) have joined forces as STEVENSTEVEN to record their debut album of children's songs for everyone, Foreverywhere. The LP will be released worldwide in February 2017.

Foreverywhere kicks off with "Unicorn and Princess Rainbow" the first in a trilogy of songs about a unicorn who falls in love with a guitar shredding princess. Of the song (and trilogy), Burns says, "I love narrative rock music. This is the expository first song in our attempt at a mini concept EP for kids adults and everybody- a three song narrative detailing the story of a unicorn who falls in love with a Rainbow Princess with incredible guitar chops, joins her band, and then loses her to cosmic forces beyond his control. We wanted it to be expressive and wistful and dramatic and even tragic in its way, full of themes you don't often hear in children's music. We wanted to make a little legend here, sort of Puff the Magic Dragon meets Ziggy Stardust."

Immediately following "The Unicorn and Princess Rainbow" is the psychedelic "Mimic Octopus (Secret Wizard of The Sea)" segueing into the buoyant "A Fact is a Gift You Give Your Brain" while rounding out the album with the potty-training positive "OK Toilet Bowl," the marching snare of "The Lonely Unicorn is Never Giving Up" and the comedic "If You're Ginormous and You Know It" amongst the fun and complex tracks comprising the LP.

As described by STEVENSTEVEN themselves, Foreverywhere is inspired by, "Wondering, Burt, Black Sabbath, Cephalopods, Grover, Toy Commercials From The 1970's, Harry Nilsson, Dr. Seuss, Science, Bill Conti, Queen, Futzees, Rocky Balboa, Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, True Love, Neil Diamond, The Zoo, Holly Hobbie, Fairy Tales, David Bowie and Mister Rogers."

And so is Foreverywhere -- part concept album, part legend, all play, fun and filled to the brim with immediate music that will be enjoyed by kids, parents, fans of The Flaming Lips and grownup fans of "Blue's Clues" alike

STEVENSTEVEN began writing music together in the early aughts when Burns was recording his first solo effort Songs for Dustmites in the upstate NY studio owned by The Flaming Lips'producer-- where Drozd was staying. Drozd was impressed with what he heard and the two began their first collaboration within thirty minutes of meeting. The duo wrote "I Hog The Ground" for a Groundhog's Day episode of Nickelodeon's "Jack's Big Music Show."
