Slick Rick Perfoms at AMNH's One Step Beyond 3/11

One Step Beyond continues its fourth season at the American Museum of Natural History. During this ongoing party series, guests can dance in the Museum's Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Hall of the Universe to the sounds of the biggest names in techno, electronica, hip-hop, and indie rock.

Guests can also enjoy a complimentary screening of one of the breathtaking Hayden Planetarium Space Shows. March's feature is Journey to the Stars, narrated by Academy Award winner Whoopi Goldberg. Journey to the Stars launches visitors through time and space to experience the life and death of the stars in our night sky. A beer and wine bar keeps the party going. Each ticket also includes one pass to the Museum for future use.

Slick Rick, born Richard Walters in 1965 to Jamaican parents in London, is a Grammy-nominated British American rapper. After moving with his family to the Bronx in 1975, he began his career in the early 1980s, recording a series of acclaimed recordings such as "Children's Story," "The Show and La Di Da Di," and "Hey Young World." His music has been frequently sampled by other artists such as TLC, Black Star, The Notorious B.I.G., and Snoop Dogg.

Uncle Ralph McDaniels, support
Brooklyn-born Ralph "Uncle Ralph" McDaniels created Video Music Box, the first music video show focused exclusively onan urban market-broadcast on public television. McDaniels is president of Uncle Ralph Productions, an on-air personality at New York's WQHT, host and one of the executive producers of The Bridge, and a co-owner of Onfumes.com.

Roxy Cottontail, support
Ms. Cottontail hosts her infamous Monday night party at Sway and assorted events all over the world. Last fall she debuted her new radio show "Booty and the Beat." She also writes a column for Missbehave Magazine. Roxy has worked with artists such as DJ AM, Steve Aoki, Afrika Bambaataa, Stretch Armstrong, Ni** Sky, A-trak, Spankrock, Slick Rick, and Devin the Dude.

ADMISSION: Admission to One Step Beyond is $25. Guests must be 21 and present valid I.D.
