Husband and wife duo Sarah Lee Guthrie & Johnny Irion have released their new album Wassaic Way, produced by Jeff Tweedy and Patrick Sansone.

They will be performing in town at Bridge Street Live on Thursday, August 14th and would love for you to hear the album. Feel free to reach out to me if you have an interest in setting up a interview date/time or doing a ticket giveaway!

A bit about the band and album:

The pair feel like they've finally hit their stride on Wassaic Way, a collection of 11 new songs released August 6th on Rte 8 Records.

Wassaic Way is also the latest entry in an ongoing creative relationship between the Guthrie family and the critically acclaimed, Wilco. The album was produced by Wilco's Jeff Tweedy and Patrick Sansone at the Loft in Chicago.

Wassaic Way finds Guthrie and Irion pushing further beyond the folky sound, introducing a more poppy, lushness that allows the duo to come alive on stage. The pair, starting the Wassaic Way tour over 9 months ago- kicked it off in their hometown of the Berkshires, weaved throughout the country, and recently returned from Central Europe playing 18 shows in 19 days. They're still going strong- bringing stories of the road and their family along with intimate renditions that are both powerful and ethereal.
