Sarah Jaffe will be celebrating Record Store Day with fellow Texans and Kirtland labelmates the Toadies when they release a two-track 7" vinyl featuring a cover of PJ Harvey's "Down By The Water" with Jaffe on vocals that was recorded live at the Toadies fifth annual Dia De Los Toadies music festival. The second song featured on this exclusive Record Store Day 7" is a never before released version of the Toadies "Rattler's Revival" song featuring The Honeybear Horns brass section. Out April 20th, the Record Store Day Release coincides with Jaffe's appearance at Fort Worth's Untapped Festival. Sponsored by Paste, the festival features indie music and beer and has Jaffe playing alongside Tennis, Justin Townes Earle, and Deer Tick among others.

In addition to the Untapped Festival, Jaffe announced yesterday that she will be joining her Spring tourmates Why? for this year's Northside Festival in Brooklyn, New York. Jaffe and Why? will be joining an already impressive list of artists confirmed for the fifth year of this growing DIY festival including Iceage, The Men, Swans, The Walkmen, and Twin Sister. Jaffe and Why? are scheduled to perform on June 16th and the festival is from the 13th through the 20th. Please visitwww.northsidefestival.com for the most up-to-date information on the schedule, venues and artists confirmed to play.

The June tour with Why? will follow a West Coast Living Room Tour for Jaffe that kicks off in LA on May 15th, the night after she joins Bob Schneider at The Mint for a one off solo show. The Living Room Tour has Jaffe hitting San Francisco on May 16th and 17th, Portland on May 19th, and Seattle on May 20th. The "living rooms" she's playing have yet to be announced, but please check here: www.undertowmusic.com/sarah-jaffe-living-room-tour/ for the most up to date information.

In other Jaffe news, June also marks the release of Disney/Pixar's The Blue Umbrella -- a short film featuring Jaffe's voice that Pixar has paired with Monsters University. An inspiration for the film's director Saschka Unseld, Jaffe got to work with Jon Brion on the score and is extremely proud to be part of this production.
