This week, the San Diego Gay Men's Chorus (SDGMC) had the honor of performing at both outgoing interim Mayor Todd Gloria's community celebration and for newly elected Mayor Kevin Faulconer's inauguration ceremony.

"We are so proud of Mayor Gloria. His strong leadership represented the entire city of San Diego in an incredible fashion during a time of crises," said SDGMC President Bob Lehman. "And Mayor Faulconer is already showing he will be a great mayor for all communities in San Diego."

It was a bittersweet evening as the chorus took stage to help celebrate Todd Gloria's conclusion as interim Mayor. With uplifted voices, the chorus sang its original ode to Gloria, "The Gloria Chorus" at the community event on Feb. 28 at the San Diego Central Library.

On March 3, the chorus performed at Mayor Faulconer's inauguration celebration at the Broadway Pier Port Pavilion. Proclaiming "You Gotta Be" from its upcoming show, Wow! The Chorus Sings the '90s, the chorus welcomed the new mayor in style.
