Ryan Murphy, Ricky Martin & More Tweet Support to Elton John's Dolce & Gabbana Boycott

UPDATE: According to The Telegraph, designer Gabanna responded to the recent controversy last night, commenting: "We firmly believe in democracy and the fundamental principle of freedom of expression that upholds it. We talked about our way of seeing reality, but it was never our intention to judge other people's choices. We do believe in freedom and love"

On Saturday March 14th, musician Elton John announced that he will be boycotting Dolce & Gabbana following their negative comments on gay parenting in a recent interview with Panorama magazine.

"You are born to a mother and a father," said the designers, with Dolce adding, "I call children of chemistry, synthetic children. Rented wombs, semen chosen from a catalog."

John posted took to Instagram to announce the boycott, posting, "How dare you refer to my beautiful children as "synthetic". And shame on you for wagging your judgemental little fingers at IVF - a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfil their dream of having children. Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions. I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again. #BoycottDolceGabbana"

Since Saturday, many A-list celebrities have taken to social media to announce their support for the legendary musician and composer.
