Soundbrush Records artist, Nicole Borger, joined pianist and composer, Roger Davidson, as a guest vocalist during a recent Live at Caffè Vivaldi concert in New York's Greenwich Village. The multifaceted Brazilian singer and songwriter showcased original lyrics she created to accompany Davidson's compositions, "O Jogo," "Choro da Felicidade" and "Saudade do Brasil," which were recently published in To Brazil with Love, a collection of more than 100 original Brazilian Jazz tunes. "I love poetry and setting poems into Roger's Brazilian music compositions was a fun challenge for me," said Nicole Borger. "I hope I did justice to his music."

Roger Davidson opened up a musical portal to share his love and experience his life long connection to the spirit and music of Brazil. The evening performance enveloped the audience with popular tunes from his critically acclaimed recordings and provided a special preview of the forthcoming To Brazil with Love, Volume 2. "Music means the most when it is an expression of love and an expression of life," according to Roger Davidson, "whether it is of joy, sadness or spiritual aspirations."

The Live at Caffè Vivaldi music series consists of weekly live performances from the heart of New York City's Greenwich Village. Originally conceived by Roger Davidson, the intimate venue has become an informal home for Soundbrush Records artists to present new material, revisit old ones and collaborate with one another to create extraordinary music. In 2013, the label started to record these performances, capturing the immediacy of live music making. Live at Caffè Vivaldi, Volumes 1 and 2 of the CD series are now available at all major music retail and listening outlets. Volume 3 (piano solo) and Volume 4 (duo) are expected to be released later this year.
