Ra Ra Riot Shares New Track THIS TIME OF YEAR

Ra Ra Riot have released a brand new song, "This Time Of Year," today, October 19th, on Rob The Rich Recordings via Caroline Music Group. After debuting the song live this summer on their sold-out tour celebrating the 10th Anniversary of their debut album, The Rhumb Line, and recording a live version for 88.5 FM KCSN; the band is thrilled to release the recorded track to fans today - listen HERE. The track, which was produced by duo Kieran Menzies and Dean Reid (Lana Del Rey, Kesha, Dua Lipa) and mixed by Dave Emery (The Killers, HAIM, Liam Gallagher), is the band's first since 2016's LP Need Your Light and serves as the first taste of new music from Ra Ra Riot's forthcoming fifth LP, expected in 2019.

Ra Ra Riot - Wes Miles (vocals), Mathieu Santos (bass), Milo Bonacci (guitar), Rebecca Zeller (violinist), Kenny Bernard (drummer) - formed in 2006 and got off to a fast start. After appearances at CMJ and SXSW, their unique brand of quirky pop had Rolling Stone calling their live show "one of the best indie-rock debuts of the year" and Spin: "one of the best young bands we've heard in a really long time." Shortly after, Ra Ra Riot signed to Barsuk and went on to release a series of critically acclaimed full-length albums starting with their highly anticipated debut album The Rhumb Line (2008), which the band revisited in full this summer on a sold-out underplay run in select cities.

Follow up albums continued to see the band evolve stylistically and each had Ra Ra Riot collaborating with world-class producers - The Orchard (2010) featured production from Andrew Maury (RAC) and mixing from Death Cab For Cutie's Chris Walla and Vampire Weekend'sRostam Batmanglij, Beta Love (2013) had Dennis Herring (The Hives, Modest Mouse) at the helm, and for the band's most recent effort, Need Your Light, Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers,Vance Joy) and Batmanglij were tapped. Need Your Light spawned the band's biggest hit to date with the Batmanglij collaboration "Water," which has streamed more than 75 million times globally.

Ra Ra Riot have continued to create some of the most fun live environments in indie rock since their live show helped launch the band's career a decade ago. The band has headlined worldwide and shared tours with Young The Giant, Death Cab For Cutie, The Postal Service,Phantogram, The Shins and more. They've also impressed on festival stages globally, includingCoachella, Austin City Limits, Icelandic Airwaves Festival, Lollapalooza and more.
