Daniel Bern, R&B artist from the borough of Brooklyn, New York, declares song, War will be the first single off The Daniel Bern EP. War is about a couple's motivation withstand outside distractions such as jealousy, stress, and rumors, alongside the internal complications; such as trust issues, honesty, and many expectations. The single's significance has stemmed from the experiences growing up as a young male, which contributed to the development of a young man. To illustrate the song's message, Bern collaborated with music video director, Quincey Kai and model, Julissa Floyd, to create the official music video.

The motivation behind Daniel's forthcoming EP has been past experiences that helped shape perception and maturity over the years. The experiences have not only fostered the growth of a young man, but the experiences have also complemented the artistry and craft as well. Bern has analyzed the public's perception and expressed thoughts on modern-day R&B music. Bern explains, "It is interesting to observe how the people observe you (laughs). A lot of the music we hear now is about (pauses) partying hard and promiscuous crazed nights (shrugs). Although these are some people's realities, I prefer to look at things differently. That is what inspired me to write War, instead of hearing a song telling you what you touch, the song will leave you emotionally touched. That way, not only do people get a dose of my music, but a dose of reality."

Bern released several songs such as Someone, I Love Being Single, Let Me Please You, and Give It To Me. In addition, he has spent many studio sessions with his engineer, preparing to complete the project. The Daniel Bern project is scheduled to make its debut Spring 2015.
